Tea Created to Honor Princess Diana's Appearance on The Crown

We’ve all gone “crown crazy” with The Crown, the blockbuster hit on Netflix.  The Republic of Tea, leading purveyor of premium teas and herbs, recently introduced a new specialty tea blend for the critically acclaimed Netflix Original Series, The Crown, by Left Bank Pictures, in association with Sony Pictures Television. Coinciding with the November premiere of the show’s fourth season, The Princess’ Peach Bellini Tea presents a delicious, free-spirited cuppa inspired by The Princess of Wales’ favorite cocktail.

The Princess’ Peach Bellini Tea features a base of fine black tea blended with a delectable combination of lush natural peach, apricot, organic monk fruit, vanilla cream, and the essence of champagne. The blend serves as the fourth tea in The Republic of Tea’s beloved The Crown Tea Collection, which also includes The Queen’s Evening Tea, The Prime Minister’s Blend, and The Queen’s Afternoon Tea.

The fourth season of The Crown opens at the end of the 1970s, when the Royal Family is preoccupied with safeguarding the line of succession by finding an appropriate bride for Prince Charles (Josh O’Connor) who is still unmarried at 30. This season covers the introduction of Diana Spencer (Emma Corrin) and delves into Charles and Diana’s tumultuous marriage over the 1980s. The timeline of season four introduces the Thatcher era, following the election of Margaret Thatcher (Gillian Anderson) and explores the divisive relationship between Prime Minister and sovereign.

The Crown Teas can be enjoyed hot or cold over a glass of ice. Each collectable tin features label art from the show; The Princess’ Peach Bellini Tea showcases Princess Diana in her iconic wedding gown. The tea tin holds 36 round, gluten-free, unbleached tea bags free of tags, strings and staples, retailing for $13.50, or approximately 37 cents per cup.

The Princess' Peach Bellini Tea, the latest in The Crown Collection, joins these tribute teas:

The Queen’s Evening Tea:  Biodynamic®, organic chamomile and natural honey flavor.

Prime Minister’s Tea:  Fine black tea and natural bergamot oil.

The Queen's Afternoon Tea:  Premium black tea, sweet blackberry leaves and natural honey and vanilla flavors.

The Crown Tea Collection is available at and specialty retailers across the country.

Mayorga Organics to Donate 100% of Online Sales

Hurricanes Eta and Iota have caused widespread damage throughout Nicaragua, Honduras, and Guatemala. In response, Mayorga Organics raised $30,000 in three days by donating all of the proceeds of their online sales via their website, for a 4-day period.  The funds were sent to trusted producers with whom the company has years of relationships to purchase food, water, mattresses, and other critically needed items.

Given the extent of the damage, the company has now committed to donating 100% of the revenue generated on its website from now 12/31/2020 to support those impacted by these natural disasters with a target of raising $200,000.

"People in these countries need our support now more than ever. As a Latino who immigrated from these countries, supporting them is a natural response for me. They're my people," states Martin Mayorga, CEO of Mayorga Organics. "I started this company 23 years ago with the sole purpose of supporting small, impoverished coffee producers in Latin America that have been ignored and taken advantage for decades.  The extractive business model of the traditional coffee industry has caused extreme poverty, and now these communities don't have what we would consider basic resources," he continues.

When asked how the company will distribute resources, Mayorga replies, "We have direct, trusted relationships that we've built over 20 years as well as our own staff in some countries. We're working with people who are leaders in their community. Our efficient, humanized supply chain has proven to also be an efficient support chain. We've been able to get basic needs to communities faster and more efficiently than most NGO's with 100% of our funds being put to use. It's a testament to the many benefits of building direct relationships with producers, being engaged in country, and running a business with a conscience."

In addition to the $30,000 raised, the company has a target of raising an additional $200,000 via online sales through 12/31/2020.  Shop now and give hope to those so desperately in need at this time:

Coffee Candles

After a successful 2019 launch and an outpouring of requests from fans nationwide, home fragrance and lifestyle brand Homesick has once again teamed up with Dunkin', bringing back limited-edition candles inspired by some of the beloved brand's most popular menu items: Original Blend Coffee and Old Fashioned Donuts.

This year, customers can add a personalized message, like their name, a holiday message, or even a favorite Dunkin' order to the jar of any candle to make it an extra special gift. The collection, which draws on the power of scent to brew up meaningful memories, brings the Dunkin' experience and moments of nostalgia into homes of fans nationwide during a time when many catch-ups over coffee and donuts have gone virtual.

Returning Homesick & Dunkin' Collection candle fragrances include:

  • Original Blend – Dunkin's signature blend coffee that has been keeping America running for 70 years. The combination of Original Blend Coffee and cream delivers a sweet scent to be enjoyed by all.
  • Old Fashioned – Indulge in the coziness of freshly baked Old-Fashioned Donuts with the sweet but subtle scent of traditional warm spices that wrap you in nostalgia.

The returning candle fragrances were lovingly developed by Homesick's team of researchers, chandlers, and perfume chemists, who worked closely with the Dunkin' culinary team to ensure each candle captures the essence of the product it represents.

Packaged in bold, vibrant prints that reflect Dunkin's iconic pink and orange colors, the limited-edition collection became available on November 23, at and sell for $34 MSRP.  For another $15, fans can print a personalized message on the candle's jar for a custom gift as unique as fans' go-to Dunkin' order. Each candle is hand-poured in the U.S. with a soy wax blend and offers a generous burn time of 60 to 80 hours.

"When we first started working with Dunkin' to create this collection, we immediately bonded over our shared passion for putting a smile on people's faces. It was all the more fulfilling for us to see such a positive response to the lineup – between Old Fashioned and Original Blend selling out so quickly, and an influx of comments, DMs, and emails from our customers asking us to bring it back," said Lauren Lamagna, Director of Product Development and Merchandising at Homesick. "Whether our customers are buying for themselves to relive a special Dunkin' memory, or to give to friends and family customized with their go-to order, we're excited to team up with Dunkin' again to offer this meaningful gift for the holiday season."

"In a year when everyone could use a little more cheer, Dunkin' coffee and donuts and Homesick candles have both played a role in bringing people moments of comfort and joy. Our fans are as unique as their coffee orders and we wanted to bring back our collaboration with the fun new twist of personalization," said Justin Unger, Director of Strategic Partnerships at Dunkin' Brands. "After last year's response, it was an easy decision to team up with Homesick again to bring back those fan-favorite fragrances and allow people nationwide to experience Dunkin' at home."

The collaboration with Homesick is a key part of Dunkin's plans to help fans give extra cheer all season long. From seasonal sips and holiday cups to custom, limited-edition holiday merch, Dunkin' has fans' backs this holiday season, however they're celebrating.

How to Make a Pumpkin Spice Latte at Home

Makes 2 drinks

What You Need/Ingredients:
• 2 tablespoons pumpkin purée
• 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice, plus more to garnish
• Freshly ground black pepper
• 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
• 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
• 2 cups whole milk
• 1 to 2 shots espresso (about 1/4 cup), or 1/3 to 1/2 cup strong coffee
• 1/4 cup heavy cream, whipped into firm peaks

Mixer, whisk, or hand blender, to whip cream
Wooden spoon
Espresso maker or coffee maker

Heat the pumpkin and spices. Heat the pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice, and a generous helping of black pepper in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it's hot and smells cooked, about 2 minutes.
Stir in the sugar. Add the sugar and stir until the mixture looks like a bubbly, thick syrup.
Warm the milk. Whisk in the milk and vanilla and warm gently, watching carefully to make sure it doesn't boil over.
Blend the milk. Carefully process the mixture with a hand blender or in a traditional blender (hold the lid down tightly with a thick wad of towels!) until frothy and blended.
Mix the drinks. Make the espresso or coffee and divide between 2 mugs. Add the frothed milk and pumpkin mixture. Top with the whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, or nutmeg if desired.

Vanilla: Yes, this recipe calls for two tablespoons (not teaspoons) of vanilla. This sounds like a lot, but it does more than anything else to mimic the intense, even artificial, taste of the syrups used in coffee shops. But feel free to start with less and bump it up as needed.
Milk fat: This recipe is most satisfying when made with whole milk, but 2% and skim can be substituted.
Canned pumpkin substitution: You can substitute 1 teaspoon Torani Pumpkin Spice Syrup for the canned pumpkin if you have it on hand.
Sugar substitute: You can use a sugar substitute in place of the sugar if desired. Add to taste.
Pumpkin pie spice substitute: No pumpkin pie spice? No problem — use our recipe to make it out of cinnamon, ginger, and other spices: Pumpkin Pie Spice Mix

Recipe Notes:
Make a big batch of pumpkin spice base: If you like, you can make a big batch of the pumpkin spice base, and refrigerate. To make 8 full servings, cook 1/2 cup pumpkin purée with 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, and 1/2 cup granulated sugar. Stir in 1/2 cup vanilla extract. Refrigerate for up to 1 week and use as desired. To serve, blend 1/3 cup pumpkin spice base with milk until frothy, and add 1 or 2 shots of espresso. Top with whipped cream and serve.
